About This Treatment
Professional Tooth Extraction technician working in Fort Bliss, TX

Extraction is usually the last resort, recommended only after a crown, root canal, or other fix has been ruled out. An intact, accessible tooth is a simple extraction; a broken or impacted one requires surgical technique.

Local anesthesia numbs the area fully before extraction, with sedation available for anxious patients or more involved cases. Following aftercare instructions closely protects the blood clot that forms in the socket, since disturbing it risks dry socket.

Not every extraction needs a replacement right away, but a gap left too long can let neighboring teeth drift and complicate future treatment. Socket preservation at the time of extraction is a small step now that keeps more options open later.

Why Choose Us

Why Choose Our Specialized Tooth Extraction in Fort Bliss, TX

1

Simple & Surgical Extractions, Same Office

Whether straightforward or impacted, the same practice typically handles either case. One office, one set of X-rays, one treatment plan, regardless of complexity.

2

Sedation For Anxious Patients

Nitrous oxide or oral sedation is available for patients nervous about the procedure. Providers will walk through the sedation choices rather than defaulting to the same one for everyone.

3

Same-Day Extraction For Urgent Cases

Urgent extractions get prioritized rather than scheduled weeks out. Pain and infection risk are what move a case up the queue, not how long you've been a patient.

4

Clear Aftercare To Prevent Dry Socket

Specific instructions protect the healing socket from the most common post-extraction problem. Follow-up contact is available if something about recovery doesn't feel right.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Local anesthesia numbs the area fully first, so the procedure itself shouldn't hurt.

Most people feel back to normal within a few days, with full socket healing over several weeks.

It happens when the healing clot dislodges early; avoiding straws and smoking helps prevent it.

It depends on the tooth's location and your bite; your provider will discuss whether it matters here.

Urgent cases involving pain or infection are often accommodated same-day.

Cost depends on whether it's simple or surgical, confirmed before the visit.
